Yonah A.

Computer programming

For general purpose programming, I use python, in which I have experience. For one, I know how to analyze large datasets using NumPy and pandas DataFrames. Additionally, I have experience in Graphic user interface design in python, using the Pygame module which is an interactive graphics library on PyPi.

Web development

Along with Python, I have experience in the front-end, having developed websites and Chrome extensions using HTML/CSS/JavaScript and modern web frameworks, namely ReactJS. Some tools that I use are are NPM, Git, bash and more. In the realm of web extensions, I have published FragmentQR, which creates QR codes that link to highlighted fragments of text on a webpage, available on both the Chrome Web Store and in the Microsoft Edge Add-ons Store, in 2020.

Engineering

2020: Participated in TanenbaumCHAT's engineering club and used the engineering design process to create and present a product to help remote healthcare in the COVID-19 pandemic.
My product - Nanowear: an integrated wearable IoT device that attaches to the fabric of a t-shirt. It measures your heart rate and blood oxygen levels, and then tells you if you have symptoms of COVID-19 and advises you wether or not you should see a doctor.

Qualifications

2020: Successfully completed Python and Statistics for Financial Analysis - Coursera

2021:Coming soon

Works

Here are some projects I have created recently or am currently working on(some may not be production ready):

FragmentQR - Browser extension that generates QR codes that highlight relevant text on a webpage, based on the user's selection.

Pydash - Implementation of a rhythm based platform game, using the Pygame module in python

Rock Paper Scissors AI - Rock paper scissors player that uses statistical models to get better.

Tic tac toe AI - "Smart" tic-tac-toe computer player that uses a lookahead algorithm to always choose the best possible move
